The Effective Altruism Introduction Fellowship is a 5-week program for anyone interested in exploring the question at the heart of effective altruism: How can we most effectively improve the world? Together with like-minded students, you will explore, discuss and evaluate the evidence for what the world's most pressing problems are, how you can prioritize between these problems, and how you can realistically tackle them with your career!
In What We Owe the Future, philosopher William MacAskill argues for longtermism, that idea that positively influencing the distant future is a key moral priority of our time. From this perspective, it’s not enough to reverse climate change or avert the next pandemic. We must ensure that civilisation would rebound if it collapsed; counter the end of moral progress; and prepare for a planet where the smartest beings are digital, not human.

For everyone interested in the art of predicting the future, we are launching the Eindhoven Forecasting Team. Among other things, we will participate in contests to test our judgment, such as the Forecasting Our World in Data Tournament with a $20,000 prize pool.
The High-Impact Career Planning Mastermind will help you figure out how you can pursue an impactful and meaningful career, regardless of where you are in your journey. We will help you explore potential job paths, clarify your thoughts, plan out your next steps, and connect you with mentors and potential job opportunities.
Many agree animal welfare is an important issue, but with global meat production still on the rise, what can we actually do to make a real difference? For a technical university, the most impactful approach to tackling animal suffering might be accelerating alternative protein research with the goal of undercutting the meat industry with tastier, cheaper alternatives. Interested? Join our Alternative Protein Team!
We are very ambitious about our plans for 2023, which are all aimed at helping students figure out how they can use their careers to best improve the world. We want to launch different subgroups, organize inspiring events, and collaborate with other groups on the TU/e Campus and beyond.
This is why we are looking for new organizers to help strengthen our team.
We support students in finding the most effective ways they can improve the world.
Curious what effective altruism can mean for you? Join one of our events, programs, meetups or subgroups!
